The Ohio Valley Arabian Horse Association is serious about providing support to local and horse organizations in need. In addition, we are proud to support our local parks, particularly when we can designate our donations to the horse trails at Carriage Hill Farm one of the Five Rivers MetroParks.
A special thank you to Dan and Maria Davis, owners of HICKORY RIVER SMOKEHOUSE, Tipp City, and Brad & Krista Bowman, for a total of four years of dedication and hard work, providing OVAHA with the BEST Texas BBQ in OHIO at our Strawberry Festival fundraising events which, in turn, allow us to donate to these types of non-profit organizations: |

In an effort to help the severe drought and fires in Texas, the Ohio Valley Arabian Horse Association voted to provide to the Equine Livestock Program at Humane Society of North Texas (HSNT), Animal Shelter. This organization operates without government funds and depends upon donations. The Equine Livestock Progam has increasingly rescued or cared for horses since the year 2004. This year, they have received over 400 horses that need housing, feed and medical attention from drought and/or fire related problems, abuse and/or owners who are unable to care for their horses.
Our donation of $750 will be ear marked directly to the Equine efforts of this special organization. For more information, contact Sandy Grambort, Equine Livestock Program Coordinator [email protected], or visit them online at www.hsnt.org. |
